This book by Shiv Khera has been read by more than 3.2 M people worldwide and even sold in 16 different languages. I thought of purchasing a copy to read and find for myself if the book was all worth the hype. I read it!! And now, this book is my capsule for motivation.
It contains known secrets that we had been overlooking the whole time. Shive Khera radiates light of wisdom using parables to enlighten our path to success.
“'Winners don’t do different things. They do things differently.” - Shiv Khera
And what do they do differently?
Winners form the habit of doing things losers don’t like to do. In fact, winners don’t like it either but they do it anyway. For instance, waking up early even though they don’t like it. They form positive habits which eventually becomes a reflex action.
This book will help one to:
Build confidence by mastering the seven steps to positive thinking
Be successful by turning weaknesses in strengths
Gain credibility by doing the right things for the right reasons
Take charge by controlling things instead of letting them control you
Build trust by developing mutual respect with people around you
Accomplish more by removing the barriers to effectiveness
The top 2 takeaways for me includes a self –realization of the factors that was pulling me away from excellence and the action plan at the end of each chapter to analyze oneself.
Some people might argue that the book contains points that are already familiar to us.
So overall, I would give this book an 8.5 /10 and is worth keeping a copy of this in your library.
